Job Description:
The person attending this position will be responsible for the design, implementation, delivery and support of software application for enterprise systems. The position requires being actively involved in full life cycle development of Recommendation systems for articles to the scholarly industry in a SaaS orientation
Responsible for technical design, software development and data manipulation in a high-end information technology environment of the cloud
Job Requirements:
Relevant education:
BSc or MSc in Computer Science/Computer Engineering
Required professional experience:
A minimum of 3 years of hands-on work experience in full life-cycle development, with in-depth experience in service or software development using OOAD in J2EE
Experience with Eclipse, MVC (Struts), JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Maven, Tiles, JBOSS (Tomcat), Hibernate, JUnit etc’
Proven track record of success with J2EE projects
Strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design experience (UML, sequence diagrams, Use case and Enterprise Architect)
Experience in a SaaS environment will be considered an advantage
Data Mining, Business Intelligence & Reporting specialist, including developing analytical models for complex data analysis (advantage)
Statistical analysis (including experience with statistical packages/tools, e.g R-script) and Bibliometrics will be considered an advantage
Thorough understanding of standard enterprise application requirements, including scalability, performance, reliability, high availability etc.
Solid understanding of database concepts using Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS, ODBO, views, stored procedures, triggers, partitions
Experience with HTML widgets, JavaScript, browser’s plug-ins and web orientation

English at a very high level both written and spoken
