Network Engineer

A large retail company in the luxury goods industry with about 150 locations across the US, Caribbean and Mexico is looking for an intermediate Network Engineer to provide high level network troubleshooting and resolution procedures along with performing IT infrastructure support to various users, their systems, and hardware and software applications. They would also be responsible for installing, troubleshooting and maintaining all infrastructure devices including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, servers and the software governing them.

Duties would also include designing and implementing technical solutions that meet business requirements, managing 3rd party vendors, support disaster recovery technology and processes, and investigate new technologies for improving our infrastructure, supporting other network systems and end users, etc. The successful candidate will interact with other Infrastructure team members, outside vendors and internal customers.

Overall responsibilities:
• System Administration of MS Windows & Citrix environments including Windows Server, Windows Desktop, Active Directory and Microsoft Networking
• Network Administration of Cisco environment with switches, routers and firewalls.
• Working with sores and corporate users to resolve issues and help with escalations.
• Network Administration using Cisco and Sonicwall Switches, Routers and VOIP eq

Must have requirements:
• Masters or Bachelors Degree in Electronics or Computer Science
• Knowledge supporting and securing networks (routers, firewalls)
• Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and client-server application support/troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server from a system administrator's perspective
• Knowledge and experience maintaining websites (PHP, MYSQL, Content Delivery)
• Possess excellent technical and non-technical communication skills
• Knowledge of server virtualization (VMWare, or MS Hyper V) and SAN Storage Technology a plus
• MCSE and CCNA Certifications, big plus.
