The focus of this position shall be to provide information regarding potential threats which are relevant to current and future vehicle generations , including subject-oriented research of the automotive-cyber market trends, actors, capabilities, methods, tools, vulnerabilities, supply chain, etc.
Support R&D projects by generating external information on relevant technologies and in-context data for car protection. Review relevant concepts on demand. Provide both the R&D and the operational procedures contextualized threat landscape. Enhance supply chain protection by threat assessment and continues attack surface evaluation.
Ensure effective collaboration and knowledge transfer to the HQ. Ensure appropriate implementation and compliance according to rules and regulations provided by law and by internal guidelines.
The main objective of the TI analyst will be:
oCollect, identify and manage cyber relevant threats from multiple intelligence sources.
oFuse between external information of automotive-cyber threat landscape and Daimler's internal data, including security fleet management system, Daimler DBs and IT security.
oResearch and investigation of cyber market in the context of the Automotive field, including trends, events, actors, capabilities and methods.
oCollaboration with RD/U and Daimlers IT security TI analysts.
oCollaboration with supply chain vendors.
This position shall be integrated into the Car Security R&D team and develop solutions for future vehicle generations.
Bachelors degree in Computer science, IT security, Communication Technology or any equivalent combination of education and experience providing cyber security support in a fast paced environment.
3+ years of threat intelligence background in the operations / collection / investigations fields as well as technical subject oriented research
Preferable previous knowledge in cyber security threat intelligence
Preferable military service or security sector experience in the field of cyber defense
Dealing with complex automatic TI systems for managing both textual and technical big data
Knowledge of communication protocols
"Self-learner" type of person
Ability to document technical information
Strong research skills in order to integrate different pieces of information
Exceptional team work capabilities
Ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audience, orally and in writing, in an easily understood, and actionable manner
Understanding of Daimler guidelines and regulations including compliance
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
