Stratasys is looking for a Global Commodity Manager, Indirect Sourcing to join our global Procurement department.
Summary: The Commodity Manager will lead the Sourcing activities to develop and execute global sourcing strategies for HR, Finance, Legal, CWF (Contractors) and IT indirect categories. Coordinate deployment of actions in support of the strategic initiatives by working closely with the individual Business Unit resources. Responsible aggregate purchase volumes of up to $50M.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):
•Apply sourcing and procurement management expertise and job experience to: ?Define Preferred Suppliers within professional services commodity categories
?Establish and manage supplier performance expectations
?Achieve company cost reduction and working capital goals
?Analyze and develop plans and metrics to manage supply base capacity, capability and effectiveness
?Conduct commodity category and industry analyses to identify opportunities; tracking and forecasting of key cost drivers that have an impact on business conditions
?Manage total lifecycle of a supplier contract, including submission to legal, expiration alerts, etc
?Segment suppliers and manage relationships to drive supplier development and integration for existing, new and potential suppliers
•Assume a leadership role in developing strong supplier relationships that includes: ?Develop supplier plans that secure targeted levels of cost, quality, assurance of supply and working capital
?Contract negotiations and developing commercial agreements
?Technology development and integration into Stratasys Products and/or infrastructure
•Global deployment and support representing Stratasys Business Units as one company to the Supplier
•Collaborate with Internal Stakeholder and Procurement Teams to identify and develop new suppliers, define and execute projects and meet deliverables within a matrix organization
•Budget responsibility: Direct responsibility and control of commodity spend and cost reduction targets. Indirect influence and contribution to budgets of internal stakeholders.
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:
•BA degree, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or other equivalent degree.
•Minimum of 4 years of global sourcing experience.
•Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology.
•Experience with creation and analysis of complex excel and power-point reports.
•Able to communicate on a global and regional basis using clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to manage complex and/or critical internal and external relationships, strong negotiating, analytical and technical skills.
