As a Mechanical Designer, you will be a part of Autonomous platform design team that includes: New platform design, adaptation to existing platforms, validation, and verification. As part of your role you’ll have the exciting opportunity to connect our autonomous platform to different machinery in a scalable and robust manner. As part of this role you will work closely with the product and engineering teams and provide a solution that meets growers’ needs.
The Autonomy Group is responsible for developing the most cutting-edge technologies of autonomous driving and bringing them into the agricultural world. The group is multidisciplinary, with high expertise in different areas from mechanics, electronics, computer vision, advanced algorithms, and communication.
What you will be doing:
Mechanical adaptation Design and improve an Autonomous platform.
Integrate multi-disciplinary components to an Autonomous platform.
Support manufacturing drawings
Design first prototypes
Supporting board design efforts (DXF, IDF etc.)
Design For Manufacturing (DFM) and Design For Testing (DFT)
At least 3 years of practical engineering experience (IDF can be an option and an advantage)
Experience in 3D CAD and 3D printing.
Hand-on experience and passion for mechanics and heavy machinery
Experience in mechanical Integration and assembly.
Cross-discipline excellence (mechanical, sensors and electronics)
Knowledge with DFT and DFM– advantage.
Background in motion systems – advantage.
Motivated, self-learner, rigorous, good interpersonal skills
