GenAI Engineering Lead

At Commit AI we’re expanding a fast-growing practice that helps companies build and ship production-ready GenAI products and solutions. We’ve served many satisfied customers globally and are now hiring a hands-on GenAI leader to join our GenAI Center of Excellence in Israel.
As a Generative AI Engineering Lead, you will lead the design, development and implementation of cutting-edge Generative AI solutions for our clients - ranging from Fortune 500s and enterprises to leading SMBs and startups. In this hands-on role, you will work closely with software, AI & data engineers, data scientists, architects and PMs to drive innovation and efficiency through AI solutions.
Responsibilities:
? Lead (hands-on) the design and development of state-of-the-art Gen-AI applications and products for top-tier clients
? Build and lead a team of GenAI engineers working across the stack to deliver end-to-end production-grade AI solutions to complex business problems
? Lead client AI discovery processes and sessions to deeply understand the customer’s needs and provide AI implementation recommendations
? Provide customers with Generative AI expertise and advisory through architecture designs, PoCs and solution reviews
? Work closely with our teams of cloud experts to deploy AI solutions across all major cloud environments (Azure ,AWS, GCP)
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for AI-powered applications
? Stay up-to-date with the latest GenAI technologies, research and trends
דרישות התפקיד
Requirements:
? Demonstrable experience building production-grade GenAI applications and solutions
? 5+ years as a software developer, 3+ of which as a backend/full stack engineer
? 2+ years as a tech lead or team lead
? High proficiency in Python
? Proven experience with LLM APIs/SDKs, RAG, Vector DBs, AI agents, MCPs and GenAI frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, etc.)
? Proven experience with prompt design & context engineering, deep understanding of the different techniques
? Proven experience evaluating, monitoring and guardrailing LLM outputs and addressing common issues like accuracy, latency, cost and safety
? Experience working with cloud-based AI services from at least one major cloud provider (Azure ,AWS, GCP), preferably around deploying AI solutions to production
? Genuine curiosity and passion for Generative AI technology
? Self-directed, independent, collaborative and diligent
? Fluent English communication skills, written and verbal
Advantages:
? Hands-on experience with Azure cloud & AI services (e.g. AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Doc Intelligence)
? Experience working with AI coding copilots (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, etc.)
? Proficiency in Node.js and/or Java and/or .NET/C#
? Degree in Computer Science / SW Engineering / EE or related field
? AI/ML background
? Entrepreneurial mindset
