What You Bring
• 10+ years building production backend systems, with deep Python expertise.
• Intensive hands-on development with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex or equivalent) as your daily way of working, not occasional use.
• LLM systems shipped to production — agents, tool calling, RAG, context engineering — well beyond prototypes.
• Strong system design. You've built platforms that other engineers build on.
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), relational databases and API design.
• Testing, evaluation and observability treated as part of the product.
• High ownership, and comfort moving fast through ambiguity without breaking what matters.
• Clear communication of technical trade-offs to business stakeholders.
Nice to Have
• Fintech, insurance or another regulated industry.
• LLM evaluation, guardrails or AI safety.
• Technical leadership or mentoring experience.
• Integration with enterprise and legacy systems.
