Be our first engineering leader and help us scale from 3 to 6-7 people over the next few months
Work directly with the CTO on technical architecture and major decisions—you'll be true partners
Stay hands-on (40-50% coding/technical work)—we need someone who can still ship code, not just manage
Build the team: own hiring, interviewing, and creating our engineering culture from scratch
Partner with our data science team to build scalable data pipelines and ETL processes that power our ML models
Set up the right processes and best practices that help us move fast without breaking things
Work cross-functionally with product, data science, and customers to turn business needs into technical reality
Evolve our infrastructure to handle growing data and customers while keeping things reliable
10+ years as a software engineer with 3-4 years leading engineering teams (team lead, manager, or director level)
Startup experience—you've been in the early chaos before (pre-seed to Series A) and actually enjoyed it
Still love to code and can jump into architecture decisions, code reviews, and solving hard technical problems
Strong background building data-intensive systems, ETL pipelines, and handling large-scale data
Experience with modern backend tech: Node.js/NestJS (or similar), PostgreSQL, event-driven architectures, APIs
Proven track record hiring and growing engineering teams—you know how to spot and attract great talent
Can work effectively with data scientists, product folks, and business stakeholders
Balance moving fast with building for the long term
