Software Tech Lead (Scheduler)

Team Management:
- Lead and mentor the Backend Software and Automation team (2-3 engineers)
Collaborate closely with AST's engineering and operations teams to ensure the necessary functionality of payload systems, both on the ground and within the satellites.
Technical Leadership:
- Oversee architecture, implementation, and integration of backend software and test automation.
- Define automation strategy for functional, regression, and performance testing.
Project Ownership:
- Manage team tasks, priorities, and schedules.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software and validation tools.
Collaboration:
- Act as a technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and external partners.
Process & Quality:
- Champion best practices in CI/CD, software verification, and ation.
- Continuously improve development and test workflows.


Qualifications:


Education: B.Sc in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
- 2+ years of team leadership.
Technical Skills:

Mandatory: Proven experience with Python scripting language.
Mandatory: Proven experience with cloud AWS platforms.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, or similar.
Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker.
