We are seeking an experienced SW Development Manager to lead the design, development, delivery, and operations of large-scale embedded SW solutions.
This role is ideal for a technical leader who remains hands-on - someone who can dive into code, debug complex system-level issues, and make informed architectural decisions from direct experience, not just oversight.
You will oversee the full development lifecycle, bridge technical and business teams, and ensure alignment with product roadmaps and customer requirements.
Key job responsibilities
•Define and drive the technical vision for embedded systems projects, including architecture, performance targets, and technology adoption - grounded in hands-on understanding of the codebase and system constraints
•Actively contribute to technical design reviews, code reviews, and prototyping efforts, maintaining credibility as a technical peer to your engineers
•Guide cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, software, QA) to deliver robust, scalable embedded solutions, with the ability to unblock teams by personally engaging in deep technical problem-solving when needed
•Plan and prioritize project schedules and resource allocation to meet deadlines, customer requirements, and ensure high-quality standards
•Mentor and develop SW engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing - leading by example through your own technical contributions

Basic Qualifications
•6+ years of engineering team management experience
•7+ years of engineering experience
•Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
•6+ years of experience with C programming
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
•Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
•Master's degree
•Experience in engineering
