As a member of the Design Engineering Department, the Systems Regulation & Projects Leader
is responsible for the Global Market Access of the hardware products through escorting hardware design, certifying products towards global standards, verifying health and environmental regulations compliance and testing for electromagnetic & radio compatibility. In addition to the above, he/she will lead multidisciplinary engineering projects focusing on cross-platform product changes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as the business unit systems regulatory compliance program owner
Act as a technical regulatory compliance liaison to provide tactical direction to R&D and Engineering teams about global market access and hardware regulatory affairs
Monitor, interact, report and provide support to R&D, Engineering and regional teams inquiries relating to aspects of compliance matters, enforcement actions, remedial activities and regulatory compliance affairs
Lead product evaluations and tests by operating external laboratories, advisors and subcontractors to meet relevant Safety, EMC and Environmental certifications
Perform product safety reviews, facilitate agency inspections and maintain products regulatory compliance files
Assess global and regional regulations requirements and determine applicable standards for the new developed systems to ensure compliance
Evaluate regulatory trends and revisions while working with functional departments to react to upcoming changes without interruption to products compliance and certifications
Lead multidisciplinary projects related to engineering activities: product re-designs and enhancements, product COGS reduction projects, obsolete parts and software remedial activities, product documentation initiatives, Etc.

Relevant experience:
3-5 years of prior experience at multidisciplinary / Medical company as a regulation compliance engineer or management position in known regulatory test laboratories
CE marking experience with deep understanding of Machinery, Low Voltage, Radio and EMC directives
Extensive know-how of USA/Canada regulations: FCC, NRTL listing, UL standards, electrical codes of NFPA
Environmental standards knowhow: RoHS, EHS regulations for consumer goods, transportation of goods
Experience with a safety risk assessment for complex systems, signal integrity and system design for compliance
Project management experience at a multidisciplinary company, managing multiple peers including subcontractors

Essential Education, Skills and Abilities:
Electricity / Electronics / Electromechanics Engineering degree
Strong written and verbal English
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships on a multi-level basis
Ability to present technical information and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
External Focus: Understanding customer needs, industry trends, and the competitive landscape of the industry
Change agent with energy, passion, and enthusiasm to drive change, lead by demonstrating professionalism
Clear thinker: Simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed and accuracy based on best available information and communicating priorities clearly and concisely

Supervisory Responsibilities:
External contractors and test laboratories, Cross organization projects management

Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Work in an office environment, possible visits in a factory environment
Domestic traveling – up to 10%
