Identifying the data migration impact of all proposed changes.
Reviewing gaps and proposing a solution for data migration during the solution design phase.
Approve data migration strategy for implementations.
Leading on the data migration needs for the new solution.
Overseeing and ensuring delivery of all aspects of data analysis, mapping, and transfer
Owning the best practices and quality of the migrated data and the validity of the migration processes and operation.
Define migration approach.
Conduct functional and Technical analysis.
Perform migration mapping, transformation design, and implementation using ETL tools.
Prepare test scenarios.
Offer functional support to the development and testing teams.
Support customers with the business continuity planning (define business process and flows during migration period).
Elicit customer requirements and translate them into functional, data mapping/ transformation requirements and interface specifications.
Match between functional requirements and application system options/ functionality in an efficient manner.
Aligning functional specifications with the development team.
Serve as the functional and technical support point for the different testing phases (ST, mock-ups, dress rehearsal, etc.).
Desired Skills and Experience:
7-10 years of management experience in data migration projects.
Experience of working in a complex, multi-priority organization.
Experience working within delivery teams for projects of significant size.
A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Computer Science.
Knowledge and experience working within the insurance industry- advantage.
Ability to translate functional requirements to test scenarios.
Experience in Data Migration or Data Integration.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Expert-level knowledge and experience with information systems (such as ERP).
Ability to understand the data models and structures of complex technology systems.
Experience working with SQL.
Strong MS Office skills.
Experience with ETL (knowledge of K2VIEW system is an advantage).
Experience analyzing and implementing interfaces between systems is an advantage.
Programming experience is an advantage.
