Role Summary
Steerlinq is looking for a hands-on, multidisciplinary Field & Integration Engineer to lead the
deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of our advanced autonomous vehicle systems. You are
the "technical face" of the company in the field, bridging the gap between R&D designs and
heavy-duty operational reality. You ensure the system is installed perfectly, calibrated
accurately, and ready for mission-critical demonstrations.
Key Responsibilities
System Integration & Deployment: Lead the physical installation of ECUs, cameras,
actuators, and communication units. Ensure all interfaces (CAN bus, Ethernet, Power, USB)
are verified and secured.
Testing & Validation (ATP): Conduct vehicle-level validation based on formal Acceptance
Test Procedures (ATP). Lead "Gate-based" safety checks before movement.
Digital Troubleshooting: Perform first-level debugging using the system GUI. Run software
updates, collect system logs, and translate field anomalies into actionable technical reports
for the R&D team.
Mechanical & Automotive Integration: Perform hands-on mechanical modifications. You
must understand the vehicle?s native mechanics (steering, braking, throttle) to ensure the
robotic overlays don't interfere with manual safety.
Environmental Testing: Support validation for ruggedization standards (IP ratings, vibration,
heat) in off-road conditions.
Customer Demo Support: Serve as the primary technical lead during customer
demonstrations and field trials, ensuring 100% system uptime and professionalism.
Fleet Maintenance: Execute preventive maintenance, replace field-swappable modules
(LRUs), and manage field-level quality checks.
Required Skills & Experience
Education: Practical Engineer in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Automotive Engineering.
Experience: 3–5 years in multidisciplinary systems support or field engineering (Defense or
Robotics preferred).
Technical Toolbelt:
Wiring & Connectivity: Expert in crimping (MIL-SPEC), soldering, and harness
management.
Diagnostic Tools: High proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and CAN-bus
analyzers.
IT/Software Literacy: Confident in using control GUIs, managing file logs, and performing
firmware updates.
Vehicle Knowledge: Deep understanding of heavy vehicle mechanical systems (Pneumatic
brakes, hydraulic steering, etc.).
Languages: Fluent in Hebrew and Technical English (writing concise reports is a must).
Personality & Approach
Resilient: You thrive in rugged off-road environments and under the pressure of live testing.
Methodical: You value checklists, ATPs, and documentation.
First-Line Problem Solver: You can identify whether a failure is a loose connector, a voltage
drop (LVM), or a software hang
